How did you get started?
The start of our services first began when we had the opportunity to cater our recipes at the daughter of our owners wedding. Being able to make her cake and have apart in creating her dream wedding is what gave us the confirmation that we could really be successful in the industry. The same people who had a part in creating that dream wedding, are the people who are continuously putting their hearts and souls into making this business what it is today.
What all services do you offer?
After years of accumulation, growth, and dedication, we now offer a multitude of services. Most frequently we offer catering, cakes for all occasions and we have the honor of hosting many types of life events for our community in down town New Boston. We have also expanded our services to further accommodate events of many types with our Mobile Bar service. We are continuously finding ways to grow and better serve our community, which is why we are excited to announce that our Mobile bar has recently gotten a brand new look. We look forward to giving the community the “first look” of the brand new Copper Top in the near future.
What do you want brides to know about Sugar Mill Bakery?
Sugar Mill has been successfully doing business with brides for years. It is our priority to ensure an easy and stress free wedding day and or rehearsal from start to finish. We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality food, sweets, and staff on their wedding day. On top of this, we are located near the best venues and we’re always willing to go the extra mile to make your day special.
What is one tip for the bride?
If we have to choose only one tip for the bride, we would say to choose the vendors that you can trust to listen and openly communicate your wants and needs. When choosing your vendors, make sure you hire someone to make your day what YOU want. It is a vital key in the success and ease of your wedding day that you have hired vendors that will go above and beyond to ensure their services are in line with the vision you have. Building a foundation of communication and trust will make all the difference in your peace of mind and experience throughout the entire process.
What is your favorite wedding cake look?
Our cake decorator, Justice Vera says his favorite upcoming cake trends are “simple black, tall tiered cakes with beautiful flowers. He also cannot wait for the day he gets to create a cake with a massive bow.
The coolest wedding cake/groom’s cake you’ve done?
Our personal favorite was a hay bale with the cowboy hat. This was a challenging cake that turned out perfectly! We love being able to take our customers ideas and visions and bring them to life even better than they expect.
What are the most popular catering food choices?
Our most popular catering menu is our Taco Bar. Everyone loves a good taco, right? We believe the growing popularity of our taco bar is due to having the ability to offer your guests a wide variety of options while remaining cost effective and within your budget.
What trends are you excited to see this year?
Our favorite upcoming wedding trend has been the more colorful decor! While we love an elegant look, the recent trends of color gives a more festive and cheerful vibe!
What is your favorite part about your job?
Our staff finds the most joy and fulfillment when our customers become friends. Over the years, we have gained frequent and regular costumers who allow us a hand in all of their major life events. Being able to do what we love while ensuring top quality weddings, baby showers, and birthday parties for our trusted clients will always be a highlight of our job. We love being able to provide products and services that are the centerpiece of so many life milestones.
